 What is SCRIP?

The term "Scrip" is used to describe the certificates that the school purchases at a discount and sells at face value for a profit. The discount ranges from 2% up to 25%. The Scrip certificates are actually store gift certificates and cost you nothing extra to buy. The scrip is used at the store in place of cash, checks or credit cards. Some can be used for internet and catalog purchases. We currently have several local grocery stores and over 30 retailers that we have in inventory.

The best thing about Scrip is that is costs you nothing. It just requires a little bit of planning and a slight change in spending habits. Everybody has to buy groceries and gas. Our children constantly need new clothes. There are many ways for you to use Scrip certificates for your needs! The sooner you begin participating, the more you will benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I buy scrip?

The profits from the scrip program make up an important part of our fundraising budget.  It is a great way to earn your fundraising dollars and not spend an extra dime.

Where do I purchase scrip?

Scrip is available after Sunday Morning Masses  at St. Patrick Church every weekend and at St. Patrick School during the school day.  You may send an order into school and it will be sent home with your child the same day assuming proper inventory.
