Once again during the Lenten season, St. Patrick School will be taking up
classroom collections to aid the Pontifical Institute of Foreign Missions (PIME)
in their vocation to help children in impoverished countries. In addition, the
school will be holding a "used book sale" with all proceeds going towards this
collection for the missions. Last year, we raised $500 from this sale and it
greatly added to the amount of money raised for the missions.
Please consider donating your unwanted books to St. Patrick School for
this sale. Children's books and adult books in gently used condition will be
accepted. Books will be sold to the students during a designated lunch/recess
time for a minimal cost. Parents will also be invited to purchase books at this
sale. This sale will take place some time during Lent (March/April 2011), and you
will be notified of the exact dates.
You may drop off your books any time to the school office or to the library
located in the classic gym building.
Thank you for your help, and if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Chris
Hoover, School Librarian, e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
