Mon, July 11, 2011 at 8:22 AM Hello brother Knights. On July 24th we will be sponsoring a blood drive and will need help to run it. Please contact Arthur Diaz at 773-412-3528 to let him know your availabilty. The blood drive is from 8am to 2pm we will need help at 6am to unload the truck and after 2pm for tear down. In order for the blood drive to be a success we need your help.

Meeting went well, although attendance was low, particularly for Officers.
No one knew the slate of officers for next year, so we did not vote on the slate.
Jim Oates volunteered to be Deputy Grand Knight; Bill Kucharzyk volunteered to be family director. I was going to call Bob Pitro to see if he would volunteer for program director.
It was pointed out that several folks come tothe meeting directly from work. We decided we should put on a coffee pot and a crock pot of hot dogs or something to help them, and to facilitate socialization after the business; we thought coffee could be drunk during the meeting without it causing any problem.
Abbey Collins and Veronica Roberts talked the first 30 minutes on providing emotional support for St. Pats kids, teaching them how to communicate with each other, giving each other support, letting kids know that they don't have to keep things internal. they requested funds. During the meeting $300 was voted to be donated to them.
We had 9 tonight. I don't know what is needed for a quorum, but I don't think we had one.
Don Keene reported we got $2900 so far from the Tootsie Roll drive; Fr. Meade has one more check but Don doesn't know how much it is for.
Terry Drag pass away Sunday. Visitation and funeral Mass will be Saturday morning at church. Fr. Heeg and Art Diaz' mother-in-law are not doing well.
