Parishioners for Life

In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled abortion legal in the U.S. In the 37 years since that ruling, pro-life Americans have marched on the Capital in defense of life, being a voice for the voiceless. It was thought that after the 1st march, it would be the last, but that was not to be the case. After 52,000,000 abortions (according to the most recent reports) and 37 marches later, pro-lifers continue to stand firm.

Being able for the first time to participate in the march, it was joyful and up-lifting to be among so many people of all walks of life, able and disabled, young and old dedicated to protecting the sanctity of life. We were especially impressed with the number of young people; the pro-life generation as they call themselves. They are the hope of the future. This year’s march, according to the reports numbered 300,000. An on-line virtual march attracted more than 83,000 participants!

More Americans than ever claim to be pro-life. So the tide is changing but there remains still a long battle. Please continue to pray for our President and all politicians that they may have a change of heart and come to value all life from conception to natural death.

Parishioners for Life will be saying the Rosary for Life each weekend after Saturday 4 p.m. Mass (5:00 p.m.), and after the 10:30 Mass (11:30) on Sunday. Please join us.

PFL meets every 3rd Thursday after the 7 p.m. Mass in the St. Bridget room. All are welcome.

A big THANK YOU to the Knights of Columbus for another successful and scrumptious breakfast last Sunday. You are wonderful!

And thank you to all that support the effort. We appreciate all of you.

God bless you all!
