GIRL SCOUTS HELPING ANIMAL PANTRY
Fri, January 27, 2012 at 10:22 AM Have you ever heard of St. Blaise? He is the patron of all animals and throat illnesses. His feast day is February 3rd. He died in the year 316 AD. Throughout his lifetime, St. Blaise hid in a cave with many ill animals, and he cured and cared for the animals. He also saved a young boy from dying who had a fish bone stuck in his throat.
Girl Scout Troop 460 would appreciate if you could help us celebrate his feast day and love for animals. Best Buddies, an animal shelter, needs donations for dogs and cats. This includes dog and cat treats and food.
We will accept the donations starting January 23, 2012 through February 5, 2012.
The Girl Scouts will accept the donations in boxes located at St. Pat’s Church narthex and the school office,
Thank you!
